1st Day of 1st Grade

How is this day already here?  My little baby boy is going to real school.  Although he complains about going, I think he really has a good time when he is there.  He has tons of friends and Keira and I miss his face when he is gone.  He also started his 3rd season of soccer and Kyle is still coaching.  Come watch his games on Saturdays this fall.  Don't miss it.  He'll be starting college before we know it.

Baby Girl to Preschooler

I know my postings on this blog have been few and far between.  But Keira deserves some stardom for officially completing her pre-preschool classes.  Those of you who know her well, know that she rarely dresses up.  So, I feel like this day was very important for her to request to wear her Snow White dress to class.  We love you baby girl!

Isn't it February??

So, I'm really confused, confused and scared and happy.  This weather has me happy and confused and scared to death that March is gonna blow in here and crush us.  We have been trying to take advantage of the niceness.  We also got to take advantage of our friends Jen and Eric having the cutest little 6 lb. bundle you'll ever see.  Brody, we love you and are so glad you're here.

Keira loving on her "Brody".

For the Grandmas

So I've been catching some flak for not keeping up with the blog from Nannie and Mammau.  I kind of forget to do anything with this since it's so much easier to just post on Facebook.  Wait, there are people who aren't on Facebook?  So let's catch up, shall we?

The Princess Turns Three

Our princess, our dee-dee, our keiry, our keys, our baby girl is officially not a baby anymore, although she still whines like one on most days, but that might be more of a result of her being a girl and our princess than a baby.  Her well-child check-up went swimmingly and she didn't even cry when she got her flu shot, brave girl!!  She finally broke the 30 lb. mark and is 36.5 inches short.  She goes to preschool one day a week with me in tow and loves doing crafts and singing songs.  Making friends is a bit harder for her.  She tends to be shy and not quick to share, but we're working on it.  She loves gymnastics and Kyle takes her every Wednesday to "Nastics!"  She was bumped up to the 3.5-4 year old class because she is freaky strong and also part monkey as most of you know.  She likes to dress herself and pick out her own clothes which most days is a Phillies T-shirt and old shorts.  Dresses are usually shunned but she was pretty happy to get her Snow White nightgown from Uncle Shawn and RaRa.  Her favorite food is still macaroni and cheese and her favorite drink is milk.  The day after her party, we went to the store and "bought" a new toy with her old bobbies (aka - pacifiers).  She has been bobby free ever since and did surprisingly well with the transition.  I can't believe I don't have babies anymore.  Now I have "big kids" that are getting even bigger everyday.  I love every stage and we feel so lucky to have them in our lives.
